When you think of 2ply yarn, it's matinee jackets and shawls like this which comes to mind. Beautiful lace stitches on the worlds teeny, weeniest yarn. Not great for the eyesight but an heirloom garment it certainly makes. This pattern is knitted in King Cole Comfort 2ply, which isn't a yarn that we currently stock. So we would recommend using the fabulous substitute, King Cole Big Value 2ply. It is a super soft premium acrylic, perfect for babies and comes in the basic but beautiful white and cream options!

You will also need 2.25mm and 2.75mm knitting needles and  2.25mm, 80cm circular needles and if you wanted to knit the shawl 4mm knitting needles are required.
