Ahhh I love it when they come out with a pattern like this that just has so much to offer! Four different blankets on one pattern booklet means you'll be using this for years and years and years. There's a super duper basic blanket then some intarsia, lace and a bit of texture - so it'll keep your interest too. 

It's written for the King Cole Cloud Nine DK - a super duper soft baby yarn in anti-pilling acrylic and you'll need some 3.25mm and 4mm needles.
