There is a WHOLE LOT going on with this pattern from King Cole. Variegated yarn, bobble stitch AND cables all in the magnificent form of a poncho. What's not to love...or intensely dislike, depending on your persuasion. 

This was written for a (sadly) discontinued yarn but would look just lovely in King Cole Drifter Chunky. If you feel that this piece is a bit too much - maybe you could try a solid yarn such as King Cole Big Value Chunky which will also be cost effective for a heavily cabled garment. 

You will also need 4.5mm, 5mm and 6mm knitting needles and a cable needle.
