It's nice to see crochet in chunky yarn, I think so often we see crochet as delicate, lacey, filet type stuff but I love to see it earthy and grounded too just like this. Imagine snuggling under that stone coloured throw - lovely!  The suggested yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky which is a great basic but you could up the smoosh level by using the King Cole Timeless Chunky. 

This pattern uses an 8mm hook.
