The designer has used the classic King Cole Pricewise DK, beloved of the crochet blanket making community far and wide - it is a workhorse acrylic yarn that is perfect for colourwork, as it has so many delicious shades at a very affordable price. You could also consider trying King Cole Cherished DK which might not have such a punchy green for the background but it is deliciously soft and drapey.
