I love these patterns, genuinely! I have a real soft spot for them. There was a point at which King Cole suddenly became trendy, and this was it. I just adore the oversized scarf and that it's asymmetric, and I think that that matches with the hat really well. Sometimes the matchy matchy hat and scarf is a bit much, but the asymmetry really pulls it together here. 

The lace pattern on the grey and yellow scarf is the sort of thing that I really think you could transfer onto a garment. Imagine the zig zag on the bottom and the basic polka dots for the rest of the garment! Superb.

This pattern has been knitted in King Cole Drifter DK, but you could likely use any King Cole double knit yarn. You're going to need 5mm, 4.5mm, 4mm and 3.25mm needles.
