It is not very often that you see baby accessories done in Aran. There's good reason for that, just because it's thicker and babies are so small. But, I don't know about you but I have many scraps of Aran left over and these hats are just so perfect for this. Hat no.6 would be a great stash buster for you to use these scraps in a special way. I love that they've gone from sturdy basics right through to little lacy petal types. It's a range, it's a journey, it's a rollercoaster. 

These hats have been knitted in King Cole Comfort Aran, but you could use any King Cole Aran yarn that you feel is suitable for the little ones in your life. 

For hats 1, 2, 3 and 5, you're going to need 4mm and 5mm needles. Hat 4 needs 4mm, 4.5mm and 5mm needles, and hat 6 needs 4.5mm and 5mm needles. 

You'll need a cable needle for hat 5, too.
