I'm a massive fan of the colour choice for this pattern, and even more of a fan of the garter stitch cuff and button band. If you're someone who gets annoyed with ribbing, then this is the pattern for you! This chevron-style lace pattern adds almost a folk-y air to the dress pattern on the back, yet looks modern on the front cover cardigan. Goes to show how versatile lace can be!

We're definitely recommending King Cole's Cherished DK here for a solid colour option, but the King Cole Baby Pure DK would add a nice variegation to this pattern. You'll need 3.25mm and 4mm needles, a 4mm circular needle for the larger sizes of the cardigan and top, between four and seven buttons for the cardigan and between five and seven for the dress.
