This pattern brings together two giants of the knitting world: basketweave and moss stitch. Both look like they need a cable needle, a decades' worth of lacework, and a third hand to achieve, but all they are is humble knits and purls. And when you add the self-striping King Cole Riot DK into the mix, it looks so complicated that it boggles the mind and will send lesser people (who don't knit) into a pool of insanity at how this wonderous garment is one solitary string.
If you wish to protect loved ones from this deceptively not difficult pattern, you could knit a solid variation in the Sirdar No.1 DK, an acrylic crepe yarn that has super high stitch definition.
Knitted on 3.25mm and 4mm straight needles, and a 4mm 100cm circular needle for the cardigan which we stock from Addi and from Clover.
