I'll be honest, I haven't managed to spend very long looking at this in the shop. for the most part, it's one of those patterns that I get in and then it goes straight out again - it's just too beautiful. I love how intricate it is, a much more difficult standard than King Cole's usual fare but the yoked version gives everybody a chance. I suggest, if you're captivated but worried about the actual making - have some difficult bits and some easier bits on different needles at the same time so you can pick and choose your level of intensity. 

It's written for the Luxury Merino DK which is just a perfectly smooth and smooshy yarn - I don't think you'll get any better, honestly. 

You'll also need some 3.25mm and 4mm needles and some stitch holders.
