A good way to use up leftover sock yarn - make a scrappy hot water bottle cover. With the cost of heating rising over the last couple of years, we've gotten used to warming the person and not the room... I personally love hot water bottles in the winter and will quite often have one shoved up my jumper to keep warm throughout the day!
You'll need 3mm and 3.25mm needles.
