Learn To Crochet - Saturday 9th July - 11am to 1.30pm.
In person workshops are back baby! And we're starting with one of my favourite things to teach - learn to crochet! I've been teaching this for 12 years and I can't count how many people have got the hang of it through our fun and informal lessons. Before you ask, this is absolutely appropriate for left handers.
Over two and a half hours we'll take a leisurely stroll through chains, double crochets and trebles - with a smidge of problem solving as we go. We'll be looking at reading patterns from the get go too. You'll leave this lesson with a the skills to make a scarf and very basic garments and hopefully a creative sparkiness that is just the essence of a good life.
You will be provided with a ball of chunky yarn, a hook and a print out of what we've learned on the day. Tea, coffee and sweet treats will be provided - please let me know if you have any specific requirements like milk alternatives or gluten free snacks.
The workshops will take place in the downstairs of our city centre yarn shop. There are 14 steps to the basement and a sturdy handrail - feel free to come earlier if you need to take your time getting down and if getting down isn't an option for you, we can make other arrangements - just call (0115 9474239). There will be six people maximum on the workshop and there will be plenty of space. I will wear a mask and would request that you do too.
Lessons are non-refundable and non-transferrable to any other date. If you can't make it, you can gift it or sell it to someone else but you need to let us know ASAP. If you can't do so, let us know and we may be able to sell it and refund you but we are under no obligation to do so.
