Sirdar No1 DK
I remember when the rep first showed me this yarn and I just knew it was going to be a winner. It's got the smoothness of cotton because of the chainette construction, the softness of nylon, a real weight and drape to it and also a kind of heft. If I'm honest, it looks and feels like a summer yarn - and it makes a great summer cardi - but I'm not sure I'd use this for a summer t-shirt or top, it's a bit too oomphy. This will take cables really well and lace, colourwork too but remember the heft if you're planning fairisle - it's gonna get hefty quickly and it crochets like a literal dream, so smooth, so easy to slip the hook in. Gorgeous.
