This is a pared down version of our normal brioche lesson to make it more accessible to more people. We'll be learning the real basic stitch but no fancy bits like increasing, decreasing or cables. After two hours you might feel confident enough to broach them but you may also feel comfortable just easing back and forth in this fabulously squishy stitch.
You will need to provide your own needles - 4 or 4.5mm circulars - and around 50g each of two contrasting colours in DK. Make sure the yarn isn't too hairy or splitty, a basic wool or wool blend will be fine. One of them could be multicoloured but I'd avoid both being multi coloured.
The price of the lesson includes lesson notes, two hours of small group teaching and all the tea, coffee and biscuits you could wish for. Any speciality teas, coffees or milks then you'll need to bring your own.
This is an evening lesson so runs from 6.30 to 8.30. Please don't turn up too early, I'll be running the shop in the day so sometimes need a minute to myself or to sort the shop out!! 6.15 is the earliest that works for me, 6.20 is better. Thanks for understanding. We're right in the city centre (9, Trinity Walk, NG1 2AN) and parking is best at the Victoria Centre car park or the Trinity Square car park.
Full payment is to be made in advance. Lessons are non-refundable – please only book if you're are going to be available on that date. In the case of illness please let us know as soon as possible and before the lesson begins and we will endeavour to book you onto an appropriate alternate date but this won't always be possible and we reserve the right not to as the lessons are sold as non-refundable. Lessons are transferable so if you can't come you can send a friend instead (ideally, you'd let me know so I can write that in the diary). Once lessons are booked up we take them off the internet so please take a note of the date and time you're booking.
