This is a British wool, spun and dyed right up the road in Yorkshire. It's proper wool, woolly wool, it smells like wool and knits light as a feather but wears like iron. So warm, so snuggly. I LOVE IT! It was designed with colourwork in mind - it's literally called 'Pip Colourwork' so the colours have been especially chosen to work together, contrasting where needed and blending too to create the most gorgeous palettes in your knit and crochet wear.
It's called pip after the traditional Swaledale method of sheep counting where 'pip' means five and this is Baa Ram Ewe's fifth yarn. Very cute.
