I can't believe how on trend King Cole are with these patterns at the moment. Granny squares have been taking centre stage in fast fashion for a while, and while that's definitely not a good thing (and a story for another time), what IS good about it is that we get PATTERNS FOR THINGS LIKE THIS. This is SO funky and SO fancy and all it really is are motifs and a bit of edging and sewing together. If you've never crocheted a garment before, this is the pattern for you. 

This has been written for King Cole Merino Blend DK, a super warm 100% wool yarn in a huge range of shades. However, this would look good in any DK yarn - perhaps a stash buster with some King Cole Glitz DK as the main colour to give it a bit of sparkle and pizazz. 

You'll need a 4mm hook and stitch markers.
