I definitely don't mean this in a bad when when I say that this pattern is old fashioned, I absolutely adore it. I've got a soft spot for babies in proper lacey, old fashioned, like-your-nan-made garments and these fit the bill perfectly. They're all raglan which I think works wonderfully for babies, easy to move around in and not too bulky. And isn't the hat sweet?!

Knitted in King Cole Baby Glitz DK, an especially soft yarn with a polyester thread for the sparkle that is barely noticeable to the skin. If you wanted to knit a brighter outfit you could try our King Cole Drifter for Baby DK which is a variegated and gloriously soft blend of acrylic, cotton and a teeny tiny percentage of wool. 

These patterns are knitted using 3.75 and 4mm straight needles and buttons.
