The jacket in this pattern duo is the kind of garment that comes to mind when I think of a chunky hand knit. It just has such a smooshy texture and great little features like the cable on the pockets. 

These patterns are knitted in King Cole Chunky Tweed a deliciously rich yarn with an interesting little fleck. I would encourage you to also look at King Cole Timeless Chunky for these knits as I think the fluffy, texture would be divine with this slouchy, comforting pattern.
