Easily the best thing about this pattern is that you get three scarves and four hats all in one pattern, and depending on the size of your head this could be the only hat pattern you ever need! That works out at 50p per pattern... pretty good, right? Pop a pom pom on, add some extra slouch, add some extra rib to turn the brim up, do it in all sorts of funky colours... You can't really go wrong.

This has been written in the King Cole Drifter Chunky, but you could use any chunky yarn that works. For some extra smoosh why not the King Cole Timeless Chunky?  You'll need 4mm, 5mm and 6mm needles (for specifics check the second photo).
