Look at how smart this kid looks! There's the weird trope that kids don't like being gifted hand-knit outfits but honestly I've never met a kid that doesn't appreciate it. Simple easy knit v neck jumper and pullover, nothing too difficult, and super super smart. 

We're going to recommend knitting this in the King Cole Homespun DK, as it's got that gorgeous fleck and it's lovely and warm. However the King Cole Pricewise DK is a great alternative at a lower pricepoint, and it's incredibly hard wearing too. 

You'll need 3.25mm and 4mm needles, stitch holders, and safety pins.
