Easter raffle prizes anyone?

These feathered friends are knitted flat on straight needles and sewn up to create their chickeny shape. The hen and chicks have added glamour from the sparkle in the King Cole Tinsel Chunky yarn used. If glitz isn't your jam, I recently substituted this yarn for King Cole Big Value Baby Chunky for a customer who wanted to knit this pattern for their grandson who had sensory needs (and a passion for chickens). 

The features of the chickens are knitted using oddments, which we would recommend using King Cole Dolly Mix DK for if you don't have the yarn stashed already. 

Toy stuffing is needed for both toys and 14mm or 10mm safety eyes are required depending on whether you are creating a hen or a chick.
