Lotus Flower Crochet Shawl

This is such a delicate shawl which hints to me of the 30s and Egyptomania and also, because it's that beautiful classic crochet, the 60s and 70s but adding a pared down contemporary vibe. I want to see this in all sorts of colours - clashy and wild, using up bits and bobs but also, in soft and muted shades which blend into eachother. I don't have time to do it all myself so you'd all better get busy. Janie's patterns are beautifully written, with photographs throughout and include both written and charted instructions so if you feel it's a step up for you, you're in good hands. 

The shawl measures 194cm (76.5 inches) at its widest and 98cm (38.5 inches) deep.
