These patterns keep it really simple and use effective colour blocks to make an interesting garment to both knit and admire. 

These hats are knitted in a selection of different yarns depending on your pattern selection. King Cole Merino Blend DK is a lovely pure wool that won't break the bank and King Cole Riot DK has some fabulous bright colours if you fancy snazzier hat. For the chunky hat, the designer used a yarn that's discontinued but you could use the King Cole Chunky Tweed.

For these projects you will also need 3.25m, 4 mm and 6mm needles depending on which pattern and weight of yarn you choose.
