Knitted in King Cole Comfort Aran a supersoft mixture of acrylic and nylon, perfect for babies skin. You might also like to try this in a variegated yarn, I recommend King Cole Drifter Aran - a self-striping fauxisle in a wide range of colours (and you can still throw it into the washing machine). 

You will need 4.5mm and 5mm straight needles for this project.
