Aw, I love a good basic kids pattern from King Cole. This is an easy knit with a raglan construction, meaning your little one will look very put together, whilst this is still a pretty easy pattern for you. A sweet round neck jumper and a v neck cardigan will go with any outfit. Love it!

Because this is quite a staple pattern any yarn would look great here - I'm going to recommend the King Cole Drifter Chunky and the King Cole Timeless Chunky, though have a look at our other chunkies and see what takes your fancy!

You'll need 5mm and 6mm needles, a 5mm circular needle if you need it for the cardigan border, and between three and six buttons depending on the size of cardigan you're making. You'll also need stitch holders for the jumper.
