This is gorgeous winter knit with a simple staghorn cable running parallel to the ribbing. I think that this would make a great choice of pattern for knitters who would like to try cables for the first time. 

It is knitted in King Cole Big Value Super Chunky  which is a fantastic value yarn, if you fancied trying something a little more decadent you could try our King Cole Timeless Super Chunky which is 10% fluffy alpaca joy! 

The pattern suggests that you will need both straight needles AND 80cm circular needles in 9mm and 10mm sizes for all 3 patterns. I would suggest using the circulars could also be used as a straight needle by working back and forth. Give us a call at the shop if you want more advice on the right needle selection for you.
