I love the simplicity of this design! Its a variation on a rib, really, isn't it, but just something a bit funkier. Gorgeous details on the raglan incorporating that ribby design. I must say, I'd totally put it up the sleeves as well. I adore the look of the asymmetrical cardigan. It looks gorgeous even if it's not massively practical. Feel free to sew up the closure, maybe leaving the top buttons open to fit your head. Do what you want, it's your make! 

These have been knitted using King Cole Fashion Aran, but feel free to use any other King Cole aran weight yarn,

You'll need 4.5 and 5mm needles, and buttons for both the cardigan and the sweater.
