Simple but effective, a rib pattern always gives just a little bit more pizazz to an otherwise basic staple piece. There's nothing in your wardrobe that these pieces won't go with. You could easily extend the button part of the cardigan down the band (if you need help with that, we're here!) and make it a fully button up cardigan. These are so nice and simple that you can customize them pretty much how you like.

These have been written in King Cole Cottonsmooth DK, a new 100% mercerised cotton yarn with fantastic drape and stitch definition. 

You'll need 4mm and 3.25mm needles, along with stitch holders and either three or four buttons depending on what size cardigan you're making.
