This is the perfect kids knit for spring and summer - there's no chance of getting cold here but no chance of overheating either as the cotton drapes so fantastically and is so breathable. The jumper is great too, and you could definitely expand the funky stitch pattern down further if you'd like. 

This has been knitted in King Cole Cotton Socks 4ply, but it would look great in a yarn like King Cole Merino Blend 4ply for a warmer winter garment. You'll need 3mm and 3.25mm needles, and between eight and twelve buttons for the cardigan.
