I'm very pleased that they made sure to put this in the range to be honest - the shape is one of the most popular ones whenever it appears on a pattern because it's easy and it's useful. I think the thing I like most about this though is that the band is knitted on as you're working the front so no picking up. I do think one should get good at picking up, it's not as hard as you might think and none of us should be scared of simple knitting skills but also, it's also one of the things that people want to avoid when they're looking at patterns so here we are with a pattern that suits.
