Some more basic needles you for you - these are double pointed for circular knitting (or sometimes I use them if I just want shorter than usual needles for little bits like flowers as they're only 20cm long). They've got a good sharp point and they're made of coated metal so they're smooth but not super slippy. They come in sets of four - apart from the 2.5mm, they come in fives because they're continental (I was going to say 'fancy' but they're not, they're my favourite thing which is basic and functional).
