The Fairy Ring cardigan pattern is by Katie Green. I first bought this pattern when Katie released it during lockdown and they were the first person I contacted when I knew we were buying the shop because I knew I wanted to stock their patterns.
The booklet is 28 pages, fully illustrated in black and white, with a full colour cover and charts, printed in the UK on 100% recycled paper. It also comes with access to files for download including an alternative chart and a large text version.
The pattern book includes instructions for Child and Adult sizes and is knitted top-down, in the round with a steek for the front opening - this could easily be made into jumper by forgoing the steek stitches. Steeks can be scary but Katie has created a YouTube video on how to do this to help. Lengthening or shortening the body is straightforward, but if adding length, ensure you have sufficient extra yarn.
Katie used a worsted spun, non-superwash yarn when designing the patterns. I would recommend a 100% wool heavy DK or light Aran such as Merino Blend DK or King Cole's Wool Aran. Bare in mind that if you use an Aran weight yarn, your tension may be different to the recommended in the pattern so adjust your sizing as needed - I'm happy to help with this in store if needed!
