Sock Knitting Course - 1/11, 15/11, 29/11 - 12-2:30pm

This course will introduce you to the world of sock knitting over 3 sessions; Saturday 1st November, Saturday 15th November and Saturday 29th November (7.5 hours teaching in total) with some homework in between to get to the next stage. For this course you will already need to know how to knit, purl and read a pattern.

Session 1: How a knitted sock is constructed, calculating the number of stitches you need to fit your foot, using dpns for socks, casting on.

Homework: Finish knitting the leg of your sock

Session 2: Knitting and turning the heel, gusset decreases.

Homework: Knit the foot of your sock

Session 3: Working the toes decreases and kitchener stitch the ends, finishing touches.

I will also email everyone a video of how to make the full sock that you can watch as many times as you like and will help to refresh your memory when knitting the second sock.
