Making your own socks is really addictive as they're quick knits you can take anywhere, and it's also fab environmentally as they are more durable and easier to fix and darn than commercial socks. These are originally knitted in the King Cole Summer 4-ply, a gorgeous bamboo/cotton blend with a polyester sparkle. The cotton/bamboo are great for wicking away moisture which is perfect for warmer weather.

Knitted on a set of 2.25mm DPNS, or a short circular needle, and 3.25mm and 4mm straight needles for the shawl.
