Every kid needs stripes in your life, and if you're the designated knitter in your family, this is how you provide them! These are nice, simple smooshy garter stitch patterns, sized from baby to around 7 years old. I'm a big fan of all over garter stitch but to me the best thing on this pattern is the way they've made the button band look on the cardigan. Despite the buttons being centred, they've blended it into the rest of the jumper seamlessly, making it a nice modern piece. You also don't have to stripe this if you don't want to!

This has been written in King Cole Cottonsoft DK, a super-soft matte 100% cotton yarn. But, this would look great in the many shades of the hard-wearing Pricewise DK, and if you want the stripes to make themselves, why not try out the King Cole Bramble DK (especially in their rainbow shades)! 

You'll need 3.75mm and 4mm needles.
