Afternoon all! Just a quick one today. We've got new Opal sock yarn in, and you know what happens when we get new stock in... This is going FAST, and we aren't surprised.  We usually get a random lot of yarn when we order it - we literally just ask them to send whatever they want, because there's absolutely no chance of Opal ever bringing out a subpar shade in their sock yarns. It's here! It's happening! We have a new chunky yarn coming our way and we are SO EXCITED.  Safari Chunky is King Cole's latest offering to the variegated knitting deities of our craft. 150g and 311 yards of soft premium acrylic, all in a cake that shows off the yarn but also makes it perfect for storage. This isn't just your bog-standard stripey yarn though - the black details look like animal stripes, but are subtle enough that they don't overpower the yarn. We love Fjord DK in the shop. This gorgeous offering from King Cole was actually meant to be a one off in the shop, but the People's Friend magazine had a pattern inside that called for Fjord DK and therefore, everyone wanted it. We stocked it for that, and then somehow it's convinced us to have a permanent place on our shelves. We definitely aren't complaining, though.
